Certified Drone Pilot

November 21, 2018

Be the best you can be! Acquiring skills will advance your abilities and life opportunities.

As part of our diverse value proposition, expect a commitment of skilled representation in our line of work.

Rob has taken and competently passed comprehensive Transport Canada approved Ground School training as a professional commercial unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) pilot. Rob is also completing Transport Canada’s rating to become registered as a Special Flight Operation Certified (SFOC) pilot.

The importance of ground school and the SFOC license is that you can be assured the pilot-in-command (PIC) of a UAV is operating lawfully, is insured for liability, and clearly understands the importance of public, aviation and property safety.

When flying a UAV in Canada one is required by law to follow the rules in the Canadian Aviation Regulations, section 602.41 – Unmanned Air Vehicles – in addition to respecting the Criminal Code, the provincial Trespass Act, and all municipal, provincial and territorial laws that apply. Flying in controlled airspace without the SFOC is against the law and subject to up to $5000 fines.

The SFOC will allow Rob to plan & communicate with Nav Canada and Air Traffic Control to request permission to legally undertake aerial video production in any built-up area within controlled airspace – which includes most of St. John’s and outlying areas.

Our commercial real estate licensed UAV pilot service also includes polished video production and social media ad slicks – for every property Rob represents – at no extra fee!

We love what we do, being the best we can be, caring for you! Take advantage of a special opportunity and get supercharged skills working for your home sale. Reach out to #RobBurtonToday! #houseforsale #realestate #drone #Newfoundland
